The Place I Call Home: Northeastern Pennsylvania's Underground Railroad History

Planning for a traveling exhibition, together with a website and DVD, on the regional history of Abolitionism and the Underground Railroad and a research template that could be replicated in other similar areas.

"The Place I Call Home" is a comprehensive examination of the Underground Railroad and Abolitionist activities in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and the area's remarkable contribution to the national movement. This is a compelling story, and a “missing link” in the network of northern Underground Railroad stories. The project will have three components: a physical traveling exhibit, an on-line educational resource, and a local Underground Railroad research template.
