To support a project on the themes of community & civic responsibility, relat- ing them to the works of four black writers, Richard Wright, Ernest Gaines, M. W. Alexander, & Alice Walker. A reader's theater for local television, essays in newspapers, library book displays, & a call-in program are planned.
