An Architectural Analysis of 11th and 12th Century Pueblos at Guadalupe Ruin, New Mexico
To record architectural details of an 11th and 12th century Chacoan pueblo before the data is destroyed by upcoming stabilization procedures. Seven individuals (4. trained archaeologists and 3 individuals new to the humanities) will conduct fieldwork at Guadalupe Ruin for approximately 7 weeks. 2 Individuals will conduct 19 weeks of laboratory analysis and write-up for publication in Contributions in Anthropology, a series published by Eastern New Mexico University. Participants will gain insight into the cultural heritage of modern American Indians and into the relationship of theory and research in anthropology.
