A Preservation Assessment of the Women's Studio Workshop Archive
General preservation and archival management assessments in preparation for the rehousing of archival collections related to the history of a grassroots feminist arts studio and the printmakers, photographers, and other women artists in residence from 1974 to the present.
WSW is requesting $2,720 from NEH to work with preservation professional Erica Blumenfeld to review WSW's archival materials and develop a detailed plan for rehousing the collection. Activities include reviewing current collections storage, discussing future plans for the materials & going over policies & practices for archive use. A written report will contain prioritized recommendations for future preservation action.
