Red, White and Black: The South inthe Age of the American Revolution

To make an intercultural study of the southern region in the era of the American Revolution, examining the relationships between Africans, Europeans, and Indians, as well as the relation of each of these groupings to the physical environment. The work will span the area from the Chesapeake to the Mississippi; in time it will stretch from the 1750's to the end of the 18th century.
