A Typology of Joseph Cornell's Art Work

To do a two-year comprehensive study on the life and work of the 20th century American artist Joseph Cornell. The project is to establish an accurate detailed typology of Cornell's major themes and their variants. The works in his estate and papers in the Archives of American Art will be consulted.
