Preparation of The Papers of Ulysses S. Grant
Publication of Volumes 27 and 28, and completion of Volumes 29-32. (36 months)
The Ulysses S. Grant Association has published twenty-six volumes of The Papers of Ulysses S. Grant, completing the Civil War and Reconstruction years, and advancing into Grant's second term as president. To sustain this project through Grant's presidency, his last years (1877-1885), and a new edition of his important Memoirs, the Association needs NEH funds to support editorial salaries and research assistants.
