Timucua-Spaniard Interaction in Early 17th Century Florida An Archeological Perspective

To support archeological investigation of the Baptizing Springs site an early 17th c. visita in central Florida. This research will be concerned with the definition of the aboriginal lifestyle of the largest of the Western Timucuan groups, the Utina Indians. Ideological, social, and material aspects of Utina village life which are archeologically recoverable will be investigated.
